Glossybox Unboxing | February Box

Hello my lovelies!

I hope you have all had a loving Valentines day. I've had such a wonderful February. I turned 20, spent a really nice Valentines day with my love and got a job. I'm officially a Zara employee. It's so nice to be back in retail after a small break. Plus I'm surrounded by amazing clothes.

Here's some products that I've been testing in this months Glossybox.

  • La Theorie Des Volcans Noir Eternae Youth Potion Face Scrub
As I've mentioned in these posts before, I don't tend to use face scrubs. My face can be too sensitive to most of them. Nonetheless I've been trying this and although the beads in it seem quite big, they didn't irritate my face too much. I liked how you can use this as a mask as well which is what I did most of the time. Recently I've been missing a product in my cleansing routine. I've been using a face oil to remove my makeup but because im cheap and lazy I don't want to wipe it off with cotton pads, I'd rather use a face wash of some sort to get it all off. It makes sense in my head. Anyhow this has been quite handy to remove the makeup and oil off my face.
  • Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm
I love these little pouches. They can be a massive saviour when your hair gets super dry. Not bragging or anything, but I haven't needed to use this one yet. My hair hasn't really needed a massive moisture boost recently. With any dryness, my regular conditioner can normally manage it so I'm gonna save this one for desperate measures.
  • Ciate London Paint Pot in Iced Frappe
Yet again, I got a nail varnish. I'm not majorly disappointed but I just wish I got something I'd use more often. As I've said before, I'm not a major nail varnish user. I've used this on one occasion and the colour was really nice, perfect everyday nude. I was even complimented on it several times. I just don't like the faff when it starts to scratch off, I'm too lazy to wipe it off so I just wait till it disappears on its own.
  • Mememe Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold
I have to say I wasn't sure hat this was at first, I thought it was a nail varnish. I had to look at the Either way, I was so excited to try this out! I'd always hear Youtubers and bloggers talk about illuminators in this form. Basically you put it on your face before your foundation (or use as highlighter on cheek bones) and it's supposed to make you into this glowy queen. Well I've tried this on multiple occasions and I have to say, it didn't work as well as I thought it would. I definitely had high hopes though. I wanted the ultimate glow and it only gave me a slight shimmer if that. When I put foundation over it too, that was all gone so I had to cake on my pressed highlighter after. I did even try wearing just this with no foundation over, just to see if I'd notice a difference during the day but there wasn't anything striking there. I might be using this wrong but it did disappoint a little.

  • Jeanne Arthes L'Eau de Rose

My absolute fave from February. I love the smell of roses. Around Valentines Day I wore the hell out of this and it made me feel so feminine. I'd definitely recommend this one to everyone. It stays on for so long too. The packaging isn't the most innovative that I've seen but the actual perfume definitely makes up for it. It would be hours after I'd sprayed it, and it would still be super strong. Nice little gem to my huge perfume collection.

Thanks for reading, Dom x
