Doodle Me Prints

Hello my lovelies!
Today I just wanted to share some of my project which I've been doing for the past 10 weeks. This thing has completely taken over my life and I thought it would only make sense to share some of it here. You may know that I'm currently on an Art Foundation course, or not, but either way here's something that I've been doing.

My project has been inspired by the Love Magazine. The recent edition has this consistent doodley style which I was really inspired by. Anyway, I have taken the challenge to create 3 dresses along with a small zine inspired by this.

One of the processes I used was screen printing. I created a screen by making some doodles which are very teen-like, something you'd draw in maths when you're bored. I made my dresses without any darts so they're just straight on the side rather than more fitting to the figure, then I printed my pattern using an A3 screen. I repeated the pattern all around the front and back.

I've been loving this project so much, there's so much colour and it's so playful. I think it really suits my personality. I love it when you find something that you enjoy doing and that you wont get sick of after a couple of weeks. This project has been so much fun to do and I loved every minute of the late nights to finish off that one dress. I didn't mind staying up because I loved doing it and I knew that it would look great.

Okay I don't want to go into too much detail because I will make a post on the final show which is happening on the 10th June, which you're invited to! I attend Central College so just give it a google for more information. I'm super excited for it, just these 3 stressful weeks left to finish everything off.

Thanks for reading, Dom x
