Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser Review | Skincare Monday

April 24, 2017

Hello my lovelies!

Today I've just got a short review on the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. I feel like I haven't done a review in so long! My last skincare post was in January (well if you don't count the Glossybox unboxings). That's like 3 months ago! The post was about sheet masks which you should definitely check out.

I've been playing around with my skincare routine quite a bit recently. I was swapping cleansers, toners and serums but since my mini facial with Liz Earle, I've solely converted to the Hot Cloth Cleaner to get a proper feeling of it.

The cleanser stands out from the majority of cleansers out there as you apply it on a dry face. The consistency is almost mouse-like and just glides over the face. The bottle has a practical pump which is great, keeps everything clean. You also only need a pump to clean your whole face, after some massaging it all dissolves (and you look a little like a clown). The smell is probably my favourite part though. It just this very clean smell, remind me of something, maybe a perfume I used when I was younger. When you buy the cleanser you also receive two muslin cloths to use with the cleanser. So once you look like a clown, you run your cloth under some warm water, rinse and just glide over your face which pretty much removes everything. What I really like about this is that unlike face towels, you can wash off the makeup under a tap. Because the cloth is so fine the makeup doesn't hold onto it as much. So you just rinse the cloth and wipe again. I remember when I first used this product I just expected it not to clean absolutely everything so I cleansed again using a different product and discovered practically nothing on my cotton pad.

So after all that I do have to say that I have gotten some breakout recently. I don't think it's because of the product as I got them well into using the cleanser. I think the cleanser has helped a bit with that whole situation. They seem to be going down, I'll carry on using the product everyday just to see if it can tame them. I've been slacking a bit with routine which is probably the reason for the breakouts. I'm also swapping my foundations quite a lot now so I need to figure out the what's causing it. So that's just a little honesty side note.

Anyway, I hope you all give this cleanser a try, it's a real game changer. Completely changes your perception of cleansing. I believe that it's a product that works over a period of time so I'd give it a solid 2 month go.

Hope you all enjoyed this post, Dom x
