Glossybox Unboxing | October Box

October 31, 2016

Hello my lovelies!
It's Glossybox time again! I must say I do love getting these even more now that I moved out. It's nice to get a little goodiebox just for you every month.

This months one has been a really good one too! I think that I will really enjoy using all of these. This one is also a collab with Estée Lalonde and she's my absolute fave. I think she's just the most down to earth person ever and she's also super nice.

Since I received the box I've tested a couple out so I can say a little bit about them. Here's what's inside this month's glossybox:
  • New Beauty Shampoo
I'm really intrigued by this. When I first saw it I just thought it was some small unknown company that's why it doesn't say much on it. As I've said the box is a collab with Estee this month and for the first time ever there is a secret product featured. Glossy box never really do this so I've been a bit apprehensive towards it. You can find out online what the product is (I couldn't resist) but I definitely recommend just trying it and seeing how you feel about it. The box is all about discovering and rediscovering products so this secret product has been an awesome idea. I can't wait to try it.
  • Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait - Buttery Lip Cream
Can we just appreciate the packaging for a minute. Look how adorable it is! It's got cute little fruit on it. The lip cream is said to keep your lips plumped and hydrated throughout the day. It has a creamy matte finish and makes your lips feel really soft. I've been wearing it throughout the day for the past couple of days and I'm really happy with it. I must say the colour doesn't last very long, it comes off withing a couple of hours but my lips carried on feeling moisturised. I guess the tint is more of an add on rather that the focus. Since it's a lip cream I think it focuses on keeping the lips nice and moisturised.
  • The Body Shop Drops of Youth
I've never really used The Body Shop products however a couple of weeks ago I purchased a couple of things. I noticed this product and really wanted to try it out. I never really use serums or anything like that but I think trying them out in tester form is a good starting point. It means you don't have to spend as much money (or any) and still be able to try out new products. Not sure if this is still for me but I'm excited to try it.
  • Universal Beauty Cosmetics Secret Flush, Blusher & Lip Stain Duo
I love how this is multi purpose! I guess all make up is multi purpose though, they just don't say that it is... Anyway, I've always wanted one of these little sticks. When I opened it I genuinely just thought, this is my colour, this is something I'd use. I've tried a liquid blush before and it was horrible on my skin. I always thought it was too strong and never blended properly. This blush/lip stain duo was completely the opposite. It glided on so smoothly and blended super easily. I did apply a little bit too much but it all blended together creating an even flush of colour.
  • Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator
This is the one I'm not too sure about. I don't really use face exfoliators at all. I've discovered recently that I actually have a sensitive skin. I never really noticed it until recently. I don't use exfoliators either so when I did eventually try it it made my face really red. I'm not too sure how harsh this will be on my skin but I guess we'll see. It's got honey in it so I'm guessing it can't be that harsh. It might even be moisturising. It might have to be a little surprise for a friend if it doesn't feel that good though.
  • PS...PRO HD Mascara
To be honest with you I haven't heard the best things about Primark makeup. I heard it's not good quality and doesn't sit on the face very well. I guess this put me off from trying any of their products. I'm glad I recieved this though because I could finally try it out. I've worn it during the day yesterday and honestly I don't have too much bad to say about it. The brush I wasn't sure about when I first saw it, but once I started to apply it on my lashes I noticed that it spread really evenly. It coated lashes individually rather than giving it that clumpy look. I did kind of go all over my lid and under my eye but I pretty bad at applying mascara so I can't really judge it on that. It wasn't the best in terms of volume. It definitely lengthened however could have made a better job at volumising them. I'm going to carry on using this though and see how it goes.

Thanks for reading, Dom x
